Had planned to eat elsewhere but stumbled upon this oasis of a fish bar, it looked promising,on entering the staff were polite and courteous as we made our choices of large cod,large haddock,large chips and a pot of mushy peas. The outcome was superb, fish a good size non greasy and very tasty ,chips were good and the mushy peas were enjoyed. Excellent service,tasty food and great value.Thanks

I love a decent fish and chips and although iv tried a few none have been really good but tried these tonight and the fish was perfect tasted nice and the batter spot on lovely and crispy and hot the chicken wings sadly were over spicy but would still recommend this takeaway

Large haddock and chips freshly cooked to order. Batter was fluffy and light and very tasty. Good portions served hot. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Chairs and a couple of tables for the eat in option. Just a 10 minute walk from Margate station and well worth a visit.

So by far the best fish and chips I've had Chips were delicious and crispy Fish was perfect even after cutting the fish it still held its shape Maybe because we had it fresh since we did have to wait 10min despite no queue You can always quickly shop at Tesco to occupy time It was a shame however the condiments are 30p each The image below is the size of one ketchup

In july 2023 we stayed in a flat right next door to Westbrook fish and chip shop so we thought we would give it a try. The cod batter was so perfect, crispy and tasty and the portions of chips very big. We tried many other fish and chips in Margate Old Town but they were not nice. The next day we had cod and chips again at the Westbrook. Again the cod and chips was perfect. We stayed in the same flat in July 2024. We were so glad that the same chef was there. We ate cod and chips at the Westbrook nearly every day while we were in Margate. I am a retired chef and I can honestly say that the cod was always fresh and the batter is superb! Gordon from London.

I had a portion of chips and a large pickled onion. Chips are cooked to order, so there was a short wait. Well worth it. Chips were crisp on the outside and well cooked inside. Onion was the size of a golf ball! I'll definitely grab another portion next time I'm in the area.
